Verified cleaners, bidding for your job
Cleaning is the job most often booked in a hurry, usually against a tenancy deadline. Because you are letting someone into your home, identity verification matters here as much as price.
What cleaners typically charge
Indicative UK ranges for a typical job, to help you sense check a quote. They are not a price from Mazdurr: the real number comes from trades bidding on your actual job.
| Job | Typical range | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Regular domestic clean | £15 to £25 per hour | Most homes take two to four hours per visit. |
| End of tenancy clean, two bedroom flat | £180 to £320 | Usually includes oven and interior windows. |
| Deep clean, three bedroom house | £250 to £450 | A one-off reset, well beyond a regular visit. |
| Oven clean, single | £60 to £100 | Range cookers cost more. |
| Carpet cleaning, per room | £35 to £70 | Less per room when several are booked together. |
| After builders clean | £300 to £700 | Dust removal is the bulk of the work and the time. |
Ranges reflect labour in most of the UK and exclude VAT where the trade is not registered. London and the South East usually sit at the top of each band. Materials are included only where stated.

Common questions
The things people ask before booking a cleaner.
How much does a cleaner cost per hour in the UK?
Most domestic cleaners charge £15 to £25 an hour, higher in London and the South East. Agencies sit at the upper end because the rate includes cover, insurance and vetting. On Mazdurr the cleaner bids a price for your described job, so you can compare a total rather than trying to guess how many hours it will take.
What is included in an end of tenancy clean?
Typically the full property including inside the oven, inside cupboards, all appliances, bathrooms descaled, skirtings, and interior windows. Carpet cleaning and exterior windows are usually separate. Check the bid text, because the gap between a cheap and an expensive quote is almost always these inclusions.
Will an end of tenancy clean get my deposit back?
It substantially improves the odds, but nothing guarantees it, since deposit deductions also cover damage and wear. Keep the invoice and take dated photographs after the clean. Most letting agents accept a professional receipt as evidence the property was returned properly.
Do I need to be home while the cleaner works?
Not necessarily, and many people are not. Every cleaner on Mazdurr has completed identity verification, and you can read reviews from other customers before choosing. For a first visit, most people prefer to be there for at least the start.
